OnBoard is a personal intelligent space that runs entirely locally on your device. Powered by Google's Gemma 4 language model and LiteRT-LM technology, the app provides instant responses without using third-party servers, cloud computing, or subscriptions. Everything you write, record, or upload stays exclusively on your iPhone.

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how the OnBoard mobile application ("App", "we", "us", or "our") handles your information. OnBoard is built with a "privacy by design" principle — privacy is embedded in the app's architecture, not added as an afterthought.

Key Principle: Fully Local Operation

What Information We Collect

We do not collect any information

OnBoard does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All information you enter or generate in the app — notes, AI queries, uploaded files — is stored exclusively locally on your device using iOS storage.

On-Device AI Technology

OnBoard uses Google's Gemma 4 language model running directly on your iPhone via LiteRT-LM technology (formerly known as TensorFlow Lite). This architecture guarantees:

  • Complete absence of network requests during AI processing
  • Instant responses without data transmission delays
  • Full offline operation after model download
  • No risk of data leakage through the network

The Gemma 4 language model from Google is downloaded once on the app's first launch and stored locally. More information about Gemma 4 and its terms of use can be found on Google's website.

App Permissions

OnBoard may request the following system permissions exclusively to provide functionality:

  • Files / Photos access: To import documents or images you want to process locally. Files are not transmitted outside the device.
  • Network access: Used exclusively for the initial download of the Gemma 4 model. After download, the app operates fully offline.

No Third-Party Tracking Services

OnBoard does not include or use:

  • Advertising networks
  • Analytics platforms (Firebase, Mixpanel, etc.)
  • Crash reporting platforms (Crashlytics, etc.)
  • User behavior trackers
  • Third-party data collection SDKs

Data Storage and Deletion

All your data is stored exclusively in local iOS storage on your device. You have full control over it:

  • Delete individual notes or data within the app
  • Complete deletion of all data by uninstalling the app from your device
  • Data is only backed up through your personal iCloud Backup (if enabled in iOS settings)

Children's Privacy

OnBoard is not intended for children under 13 years of age and does not knowingly collect any information from such individuals.

Changes to Privacy Policy

If changes are made to this Privacy Policy, we will update the date on this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
